One size fits all?
The one size fits all approach to hormone therapy is archaic & invalid.
The female gender is highly diverse, racially, dietary, & exercise-wise. Many menopausal women prior to HRT are already taking other medicines that alter the liver enzymes that control hormone elimination rates, especially anti-depressants & psychiatric drugs. One pack of cigarettes a day for example, doubles the rate of estrogen removal from a woman's body. So the idea of one size fits all as a rational approach to therapy is crazy, yet the WHIMS study was based on that kind of reductionistic thinking & unenlightened method.
