Bio-identical hormones, real or Memorex?
So called 'bio-identical' hormones are actually not bio-identical at all, & that's an easily provable fact.
'Bio-identical' is a meaningless buzzword conjured up by marketing specialists to exploit the void created by the unjust condemnation of HRT fueled by the WHIMS. It is all about money, your money. If you must use the word 'bio-identical' to imply natural, then the estradiol patches & gels from the large pharma companies are far more eligible for the title than what I like to call "bathtub hormones." However the fact is that no forms of HRT are truly natural, indeed we wouldn't want them to be, since the monthly hormonal fluctuations typical of the young ovaries are undesirable after menopause. That's why the 'Wylie protocol' as an alternative approach makes no sense whatsoever & I recommend it be avoided.
