Only antiquated, oral forms of hormone cause an increase in clotting & stroke risk.

Clearly, oral estrogen's like the ones used in women's Health Initiative study (WHIMS) do increase stroke risk by increasing the chance of clots. Yet many doctors still use oral estrogen's for menopause. It is difficult to understand this, given the many non-oral, naturally delivered estradiol products easily accessible to patients today. Getting the dose right however does require considerable professional expertise, & when estradiol is delivered in highly erratic, fluctuating patterns as is may often be the case with compounded bioidenticals, it can fuel coronary artery spasm, arrhythmia & sudden death.
